JoAnn McGuire What a really nice weekend. Let’s have lots more of those days, before the cold weather sets in. The gardens and fl owers are winding down; some still look fairly nice, but that won’t last much longer. I’ve heard two different reports for the coming winter weather. The one that says a mild winter, I liked. Another one said a cold, blustery, hard winter. That one, not so nice to hear. Carole (Fedorchak) Underwood and her daughter, Kari Spinosa, Melbourne, FL, attended a concert where classic albums were featured. U2’s Joshua Tree was played. They had front row seats and said it was a great concert and glad they went. Adell Bradshaw, West Chester, spent the weekend at her home on Church Street and got some winterizing things done at the house. She said it was a gorgeous time to be here. Mary Lowden, her sister, Maggie and “Yip” and “Yap”, Marlton, NJ, spent a few days at the Lowden home on Church Street. First time visit for Maggie, but I’m sure she’ll be back often. Happy Birthday wishes to Roy Pirritano who celebrates 82 years on the 23rd; Bob Day, also the 23rd; Annaliese Froese, 25th; Ted Beaver and “Dinky” Burke, 27th; and Curt Schroeder, 29th. Hope you all have a good day. Happy Anniversary to Jon- Paul and Jen Matychak on eight years of marriage on the 25th; and Chris and Michele Craig for 15 years on the 27th. Have a nice day. B’s gang sends Happy Birthday greetings to Tom Finan who will celebrate his special day on the 25th. Hope it’s great. There is a beagle dog running around town. It’s getting a little aggressive, growls, and wants to nip at people. If anyone knows the owner please contact them before something happens and he bites someone. It also bites at tires on vehicles and four wheelers. Thes dog has been running around for at least three months. It does have a collar and tag, but can’t get close enough to check it out, to see who it really belongs to. Don’t forget, Sunday, the 23rd, is the Civic Association picnic, 1 p.m. at the Pavilion. This is for you, the community, and for all those who helped make our Old Home Day a success. Bring a dish to pass and your table service. Come join us for a fun day, without all the extra work. Watch The Sully for events coming up for the Fall season. I know there are activities going on. Guess that’s it for now. Enjoy your week, even if we do get a little rain. It’s pretty dry, so we need some water to soak into the ground. Have news call me at 928-9238; mail me; see me; or email me at uvbob@epix.net. I’ll get it in for you.
